Seized

The locking nut on the tracking arm has seized and now a bit round as well

Any ideas how to remove it?

if you cant shift it with a decent set of mole grips then try some stilsons if they wont shift it its time for some heat...... i take it you put plenty of wd40 etc on it to soak before youve tried to undo it, also check which way the threads go as to wether its lefthand thread or right hand..

I just assumed it was right hand thread!

Yea, lots of wd40. Was going to try and cut off the nut, soak again with wd40 then try and remove the tie rod end (if thats the right name) and screw on a new locking nut.

Worth a go?

use a bottle jack on top of the track rod end and jack it up into the inner arch this will push the taper of the ball joint further so it wont spin then use an inpact gun to buzz it off this always worksand is not.  An angle grinder.

Nice job, but can't get it over the tie rod end unfortunately.

use a smaller socket and whack it on with some force maybe it will work
