Any tips on how to fit it?

If I can do it, anyone can.
There’s a small notch on each end of the light. Use a screwdriver on the one nearest the back of the car to push the metal clip in and gently prise it out of the housing. Pull the housing out and unclip the wire connector. This is the more challenging bit as you need to pinch it and wiggle it free whilst not getting your fingers burned on the lit bulb. Once it’s out, just connect the new one and slot it back into position.
There’s videos on a YouTube for a better idea, but it’s easy enough.

I actually found more play putting a screwdriver in from the other side (nearest the front of the car).
As suggested on a YouTube video.
Try both sides and see what you think.

Just got mine from Amazon. Fitted in a couple of minutes. I loosened it by pushing the old fitting from the back and then easing the whole thing out, with an angled trim removal tool, from the side.

Very much improved lighting of the boot and it turns off completely, when the boot is closed.

Highly recommended mod. 😊

When I fitted mine I did it by putting the back seats down and accessed it from the inside using the LED on my phone as a torch. I didn’t have to poke a live light with a screwdriver doing it that way. And I could test it properly once fitted. 👍

Which one did you get in the end? Cheers.

I can highly recommend the fitting put forward by Mutley.  Provides a much better light in the boot and easy to fit.

Why spend more when you can get the same here for £4.39, yeah it comes from China, but so does all the Amazons ones (originally)!
