Lease cars, its homebrew all the way.

Its not as though supermarket petrol is going to screw the car up so bad that you'll end up stranded at the roadside.

If there is any benefit from running fancy fuel, its about extending component life and in 2 years, you don't care because its a) not ever going to cause a problem in that time b) 100% definitely not your problem from month 24 onwards.

Save your cash, buy more cake instead (and fill the cubby hole up with crumbs for the next owner)

Haha.   Yet the owners, myself included, stick the good stuff in from day 1.

Previous rides..MKIV 1.8T   MKIV PD150  MK5 GTI MK5 edition30 now MK7 GTI PP

What stuff do the lease guys use? I  mean the car is going back after 2 years right, so is it Asda's finest or 100% V power from Day 1.  Just a question.

I run a mixture of Tesco Momentum which is highest Ron available on a forecourt or sometimes their normal unleaded. Can't say notice any difference in the extra 4 Ron

V Power is a big rip off - I'm paying £1.19 currently for the 99 Ron stuff from Tesco.

I didn't even know that Tesco do a 99 Ron .............. Interesting :)

They've been making for years, always has been the highest Ron in the UK (excluding race fuels obviously!)

Sainsbury's 97ron seems good value at 116.9ppl, locally. Can't bring myself to put 95ron in a GTI, ffs! Might as well be a tight-arsed-git and have a diesel?

I traded in a 2008 V6 diesel Mercedes-Benz E-Class (E320 Sport) for the GTI. Diesel is not only the devil's fuel, but in 4cyl form it totally sucks! Petrol wins every single time and I'm willing to pay for that at the pumps, simply because I'm not a tight-arse-git!
