Just back from trip to Skye and can report 44mpg on the way up and 42mpg on the way back. Wasn't hanging around coming back either with lots of caravans and camper vans on the road. Almost didn't have a car at all when an idiot biker decided to not bother slowing for a bend and ended up going straight off the road and into a ditch! Also have to say that I love the gti especially on the roads to and from Skye. Never felt wanting over taking and passed things with ease even when I forgot to change down a cog 🙊

Glad you're enjoying it, that's pretty much the economy I get on a long drive too, very impressive given the amount of fun you can have at the same time!

Hope you enjoyed the trip and the petrol stations all worked out right for you in the end. thats impressive MPG, Just hope I repeat mine or better it at the end of the month when I take the CS road th NC500 with it full of camping gear
