I know that any forum will dim view anything other than the car it is based on (nothing new there) but nothing that has ever been said on any forum will influence my decision to buy any car. I won't buy a car based on other people's biased comments and never will. I buy a car for what I like the look of and what takes my fancy at the time. I personally really like the R Line Tiguan and would have one for my next car like a shot but having borrowed one for an extended test drive recently  I found out that it would be a proper pain in the A** to reverse down my drive into the garage in the dark and drizzle of a winters night without rearranging the profile of the door mirrors so may have to rethink my options. Several brokers are offering near £6k discount already I have configured my ideal car with £2K of options to just over £31K without really trying so with time this may get even better.

Have a 2.0 tdi SEL. 10% off. Huge inside. Handles like a barge though - fast through a corner and I thought it was going to understeer through the hedge. It is a very nice car though, especially with storm grey leather ;-)

I'm amazed vw haven't offered dcc as an option on any of the new tiguans.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

I had a new Tiguan for a few days. It's a huge car. It was quite intimidating to drive after the Golf. The interior is way bigger than the Golf, no comparison really. It had the digital dash which is a wow feature. I cant comment on the on-the limit-handling but I thought it was a nice car to drive, although the steering was very numb. The 150bhp tdi pulled well too.
