I don't have Lane Assist.
No sign of a previous accident and def not a write off.
I think I will take it back to my independent tyre depot who do 6 monthly 3D 4 wheel alignment checks for me and get it re-done after discussing with them. They can check steering components at the same time.
( I get my Golfs checked every 6 m to ensure as near 100% as possible....usually around £30 per check with a "before and after" paper diagram and stats provided).
Sounds like it is not a "feature" of Mk7s which is what I wanted to establish via the forum.
