Mk3.5 Golf Convertible

Hi

I have a mk3.5 2.0 AWG  golf convertible with some running issues  as below can any body help im at my wits end

1 - Secondary air injection pump system. Short to ground

2- Evap purge valve N80.Short to ground

3- Mass air flow. Signal to low
     I have changed air mass sensor and still     
     the same

do you mean agg engine ?

What problems are you having ?.

The mk3.5 had a different engine (AWG with Bosch Motronic).

Can you post the full scan protocol (includes ECU part numbers, fault code numbers, etc, etc)

I have 2 3.5's,one has an ABA engine,the other earlier one has the AGG lump.

I can't find any link to an AWG unit so was it non UK unit ?

ABA was a US engine, but wouldn't be surprised if it found its way to some UK cars.
AWG was on late 3.5, but probably only a few ever made it to UK but not a case of it wasn't sold it here but mere coincidence. It is relatively rare.

It's o.k i found it on ETKA,never seen one though.

Yeah the ABA was fitted to Golfs etc in US instead of AGG unit.Much more tuneable than the AGG though.

I'm off to look for more info on this AWG now  :laugh:

Just read codes as below
1 - 17859 -Secondary Air injection system short to ground: P1451

2 - 17833 - Evap Purge Valve (N80) Short to Ground P1425

3 - 16486 - Mass Aor Flow sensor (G70) Signal to Low P0102
