Where do I find that?

It's the bottom bit of the 5F log printout headed "Media Player Position 1" - see my log file earlier in the thread.

Thank you very much Sir!

All I need to do now is to work out whether the Dynaudio amp unit is a straight swap 'plug and play' swap for the non-Dynaudio unit in my car or whether I have to start moving wires in the multiplug ...

Being really cheeky now. Any chance of some pictures of the front and back of your glovebox unit? It slides out easily using the standard removal hooks ...

IF and that's a big IF   I get a chance tomorrow I'll have a look. Although I'm not sure if I have those removal hooks.

OK. I think I'm making some progress in my investigation. I'm aware that the Golf 7 system uses a MOST digital connection - this suggests that it may be possible to plug a Dynaudio amp into the MIB which, together with the appropriate coding changes, should allow retrofit of the Dynaudio pack.

Next step then. Can anyone with access to the VW parts catalogue post the schematic for the Golf 7 infotainment system so I can identify individual parts including the Dynaudio amp and the digital cables required?
