I'm new here too and also waiting on my GTI but I succumbed to the lure of the shorter wait of an ex-demo. Wanted a carbon grey PP dsg and ended up with a red manual PP!

I've found this forum to be a mine of useful information and trusted contacts already and although I've lurked far more than interacted, people do seem very friendly.

Ah very nice! When do you get your car?

I'll be picking mine up at the end of the month which seems ages to wait but nothing compared to all those who have factory ordered! I've had my current car for 12 years so it's going to be such a change.

An Audi A4 - 2.4 sport petrol saloon auto - pearl black and black leather. Been a great car, really enjoyed it and bought it new. I only paid £250 more for the GTI so it was a bit pricey 12 years ago - but well worth it.

Have had a Audi A4 tdi s line as a courtesy car whilst waiting for the GTI and been pretty blown away by it build quality / interior is absolutely spot on, been very tempted by all the reviews / talk on forum of RS3, but sure the GTI PP will be worth the wait

Thanks, particularly looking forward to the PP and the Dynaudio which the forum feedback has been really positive on.

It's worth pushing for a courtesy car VW UK after a lot of pushing provided an A4 for the last 6 weeks given the delays which allowed me to sell my car. They do only tend to do it after the expected delivery date though, unless you can get something from your dealer.

Yeah I'm sure the PP is a great option!

The dealer promised a car one month from the intended delivery date so I'll be holding them to that. Wouldn't mind anything but a Polo

I looked at a new A4 but they are just that bit too big now, my works car park is tight and my old A4 can be a struggle so I wanted to downsize a bit. Didn't like the A3 interior, a bit boring. The Golf just felt a nicer place to be and the Tornado Red, Santiagos, manual box and tartan cloth combo seemed to fit my mid-life crisis requirements!
