So within the last couple of weeks, I've treated the old girl to a set of OEM R8 Ignition coils and some NGK Iridium X BKR7EIX spark plugs. Car starts much better now, and also seems to go a little better when given the boot. Still really needs a remap, but that will have to wait.

I also *accidentally* bought a Neuspeed P-Flo Intake as the price was a little too good to resist  I just love listening to that chatter.

Most importantly though, i finally decided on a set of rims and tyres! Ended up going for the Glen Watkins in OEM Silver, with the Continental Contact Sport 5s. Have to say, the drive has been totally transformed, and the grip is awesome!

Looks a bit like a MG TF that i know that a person owns! That's if you squint your eyes!

Not bad if you squint hard enough looks a bit like an MG FT froma distance!

Picture of the finished article.

So last weekend was very productive. Fitted my new alloys (TD Pro Race 1.2 in anthracite gloss) and took a trip over to AwesomeGTI to give the old girl some much needed APR boost !

Had a rolling road before and after (graph below). Started with: 232 bhp 226 ft/lbs, and finished with 261 bhp 296 ft/lbs

Some nice gains, and the car just feels great to drive now. Mid range is amazing

So, pics of the car with the new alloys will be up soon. Haven't had the chance to clean her yet, and it would be rude to post dirty pics

New alloys? What have you done with the Watkins?

Nice gains with the remap, imagine it feels great now!

Yeah feels awesome mate. Nice and smooth, pulls very well right through.

The Watkins where faulty, just wouldn't balance up correctly. Anywhere between 40-90 mph the whole floor of the car was shaking. Was awful, so return the alloys and kept the tyres. Shame really as I really liked them wheels on the car, but the pro race 1.2 are about 1/3 of the weight and can certainly feel the difference in the drive.

Nice wheels   Prefer the Team Dynamics to the Watkins.  Should look good against the silver, look forward to the pics.

Bet the car's feeling a bit spicier now with the combination of lightweight wheels and cheeky remap
