it's pretty common. When i worked at kwik fit it was a daily occurance. Some steel rims we would go round them with a blow torch and wire brush then use bead sealer. Seen some corroded right through. Alloys to suffer with road salt getting in under the paint, all four wheels on my corrado are deflating as i type due to it. Sometimes a rim leak wont show itself when the wheels off as some will only leak when loaded on a certain area.

Bead sealant sorts this problem out, unfortunately not all garages are using it. Most of the mainstream garages I've used, suchs as ATS do a horrific job of tyre fitting and don't use bead sealant, so my tyres go flat quickly. I've since found a local small garage who use bead sealant. Although they're not the cheapest to buy tyres from, they fit them properly and you'll not need to go back to get a leak sorted.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

Check the valve as that might be leaking...happened on my tyre...

For the money they take when changing a tyre they should put a new valve in and coat the rim...some just don't do it as they are quite cheap....but a good tyre place will do that.
Good luck...as a new valve will be a lot more cheaper than a new rim...
