Just chancing their luck, common on ebay. But without proof, hopefully nobody will buy into it. I'm sure they will be getting bombarded with emails from valver owners.

Already have lol. When asked him for proof of the apparent bhp, no reply! What a surprise

Mind you some Rolling Roads run high!

My car has been on one that gave it 173.6bhp!
But actually it was 154bhp!

Skimmed head and remap dont make 45bhp....
Without RR graph to back it up he is talking rubbish, based on this mine must be a 170bhp sleeper

You will need ported and flowed head (x flow is best) and intake/exhaust, cam, vernier, remap/stand alone ecu, decked block, balanced crank plus a whole load of other sh!t to get near that without forced induction.
It can be done no doubt, but you would not sell it for that price if you had done all that or if you had the receipts to prove it.

Some guy on here did hot 8v a few years back...

Agreed.
160+ BHP is entirely possible given the right list of parts. But a skimmed head and re-map don't give that.
130BHP maybe.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

I'd love to but too much hassle. A de-coked head makes enough difference to keep me happy
