rough idle
« on: 05 May 2014, 20:45 »
Hi im new to the vag scene and have a bora 1.6 8v (getting changed soon). IM having a bit of a nightmare trying to find a solution to a rough idle ive got, ive changed the maf sensor, cleaned the throttle body, changed plugs, ht leads and coil pack but its still got a rough idle. Anybody any tips or things to try cause mot due in June and with a rough idle it might affect emissions test. Any help appreciated

There's no fault code, the throttle is a cable, ive sprayed the throttle body with cleaner its not as bad but still does it now and again. Would a hole in the backbox cause this to affect the o2 sensor?
