car non starting (solution)

if this is in the wrong section pls move ,,,my car has been really struggling to start from cold for about 2 weeks just cranking and having to keep pumping the pedal for about 3 mins or so it would start but missing and revs on idiail were all over the place and really poor mpg well yesterday it wouldent start at all , I solved this by replacing the crankcase sensor now everything is fine starts first time ,,wanted to buy gen but they wanted £138 but got one from gsf for £27 hope this helps someone with the same problem

Im having same problem with my mk3 gti. I replaced the battery with a brand new one (yuasa 500) it has 550 cca. Now i get full power to starter but still taking ages to fire. Going to have a look at the crank sensor.
