Remember to factor in a new CECM or the high beam shutter won't work.

If you want the Adaptive part of the Xenons to work and the Autolevelers, so you don't blind people every time you accelerate, you will also need the AFS module and the associated wiring looms.

you can pick up a set of genuine RHD xenons from VW for 900 quid. so looks like hazzydayz are looking to rip off customers (unless they want to justify charging 800 quid for fitting!)

I'm looking for a decent set of used lights for around 400-500.

Does the £900 include ballasts and bulbs, or is that just the shell of the light?

I needed to buy a new ballast for my previous Passat. Only a genuine one would fit and the best price I could get was nearly £200 from TPS. When you add up all the parts you need to do the job properly, is is very expensive.

There was talk on here a year or so back about some aftermarket halogen projector lights that you could fit a HID kit into. They look very similar to OEM LED xenons, but only have a xenon dip beam, with a halogen main beam lamp where the indicator should be. To most people they will look good, but those of us that know, will spot them a miles away.
