hi all, as a above my car is a 2006 gti with dsg auto box is there any rules around changing the battery?????thanks

Just get a similar sized one.
I would get a higher rated 77A Bosch one from ECP with their present discount offering.
Without traction power is nothing!

If the cd player originally came with the car from the factory then you shouldn't need a code when you install the new battery. As for your ecu, it should be fine if the car isn't mapped. If you have a revo map then you may need to reapply the revo settings as the car will switch to revo version of stock.

You'll probable get an assortment of warning lights when you start the car after fitting the new battery, but a short drive down the road, turn off and re-start and they'll all disappear.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
