Is it just from the drivers side or does it do the same from the pas door? Could be a broken wire in drivers door as said before

Just the driver's door mate. I'm going to have a go at the loom this evening so I will soon find out. Not sure how easy or hard it is to replace the whole door loom, but I'll soon find out.  :evil:

If you think it's a wiring issue why not test the electrical resistance before changing everything?

My drivers window has just packed up as well dude, fine one day, broke the next, passenger window works off the switch but not drivers and doesn;t make any noise whatsoever.

Going to strip it down and have a look.

And ive woken up this morning, drove to work and window now works fine!

VW's are the only cars ive owned that actually fix themselves!!!
