If i take the Golf And Ryder bits off, will it leave holes or is it a heat gun/hair dryer  jobbie?

got holes under the one at the yard.... was just two i think... pulled badge off to see what mine would be like if i took the driver badge off the back of mine... (got a spare gti and driver at the yard which i have stipped down to what we can) they're off to scrappy sometime this week, so if its stil there tomorrow i can confirm - but im sure there were holes under the driver badge!!!

Hannah, dont suppose this 'spare gti' has a spare 'big bumper' does it?

Mine had the square "Driver" badge (older?) on mine. It was just glued on so a hot air gun and ten minutes was all that was required. I would have a guess that yours would be the same. As theviper says lugs on the inside = holes, no lugs = no holes

older golfs seem to have the lugged "golf" badge, and the driver/ryder badge is generally bonded onto the body. If you are planning on filling them and painting them over you will need to take a rounded hammer to the holes that are left, so you dish them, and then sand them down using a rough grade of paper, I.E> 120 and press the filler through the holes and smooth it off from the front and behind so it has a extra grip on the panel.

Don't forget to build it up slowley and prime it all properly before painting, otherwise the filler will crack the paint and break its seal.
