why did you replace MAF? If unplugging does not make it better (as it uses substitute values) then it won't be faulty.
Disconneting the battery is not a throttle body adaptation..... Get someone with VAGCOM to do that for you!
Replaced as it had an aftermarket air filter on, and it was only a fiver more to have the complete air box and MAF, so in the future if it breaks, have one as a spare.....
It seems to run a little better after the throttle body clean, so can only assume its only something little and stupid...would a engine coolant sensor be the problem as i have read up on here?
I have 'acquire' vag com and going to plug it in tomorrow to see exactly whats wrong, but its more of an annoyance than anything as when revving it is fine and also get 30+mpg...so god knows really, would be nice to sort it though!
