1.8T Timing belt question

Not a VW but an Audi A4, but question should still apply.
When doing the timing belt and tensioner, do people replace the both the oil filled tensioner and the roller tensioner, or just the roller tensioner?

Or run a 16v manual tensioner and no roller.

As above, not worth replacing just the roller then the hydraulic tensioner gives up....

my old one had seized (tensioner part) so yes replace.
