Water getting in my mk4 somehow?? Help anyone

i have a leak, i then looked under the car one day when it was on a ramp to find a 3 inch gash under the rear passenger side seat.....

previous owner must have hit a rock or something..

Pipework for the toilet they had in it previously?!

Who does toilet conversions? I want 1

Kill two birds with one stone...

1) Have a cheeky crap on a long journey, or when you're stuck in traffic,

2) Get rid of the puddle building up in your footwell!

Somehow the rubber grommet that connects the hosing had fell out? Went down local scrapyard yesterday out of 3 scrapyards only 1 mk4 with a sunroof so fingers crossed the leaks fixed, helpful info thanks everyone.

I found that grommet to be a right biatch reattaching it to the drainage tube! Without it attached though, yeh, the water would just run straight down into your footwell!

What I did, to ensure I didn't still have a leak, was to wedge a load of kitchen roll beneath the tube and the grommet. Check in a days time..., if the kitchen roll is bone dry, then hey presto!

Ye i know was just soaking my carpet everytime it rained nightmare! Sorted now so gota keep an eye they dont go missing again
