On mine, once you inflate the tyres to the correct pressure you turn on the ignition whilst holding the tire pressure button down, keep it pressed until the dashboard light goes out (I think you also hear a dong of some kind, but can't remember!). This then sets the pressure. If any tyre drops by 1 bar the light comes on - it uses rotation speed and ABS sensor to work.
