A friend of mine has a Mk6 Golf with parking sensors and my impression was, waste of money.  They're so over-sensitive you just get used to ignoring them.

I've never found that.
They work, and work a treat...I can judge distances down to under 4" with total confidence. Even better with F&R sensors + rear camera.
Well worth every penny of the cost in my view.

Have front and rear sensors and upgraded to the RCD510 too which gives you the nice digital display, work brilliantly and a must as the wife reversed her last car into the neighbours  :rolleyes:

Agree, although they do go a crazy when I reverse out of my garage!

I always thought they were for the wife only but having them on the last few cars I think they are really handy and with RCD510 the picture showing front rear is great. Plus now I have and ED35 with 90% tint on the windows they are a must when reversing in the dark coz I can't see anything out the back of the car  :smiley:

Good point about the tints, saying that our car hasn't been out in the dark in 3 months of owning it so havent tried yet.
