Clutch noise??
« on: 12 May 2012, 19:38 »
ohhh noooo, think i have a problem straight away.

With the engine running and without the car in gear, when i press the clutch and release it i get a loud clicking type noise? Only happens when the engine is running and is more noticable when driving.

Could anyone be so kind and try theirs to see if it clicks on release, didn't notice it on the GTI.

cheaper to fix and less like to strand you at the side of the road with a flashing dashboard as it gets to engage two gears at the same time when your mecatronic unit has a hissy fit  like it did to us.

Try a search on YouTube I remember seeing similar before. Sadly the fumes from the wax I just put on the car are overpowering and not leering me think :embarassed:

It maybe the flywheel, i'm not sure if they are still using the dual mass but if they have fitted a faulty one at factory.... If it's still under warranty go to your local VW dealer?
