Theres also alot of stupid idea of the way they went about things looking at things from a design engineers point of view. Looks more like they were designed by accountants(I know what thats like!!!!!) Im beginning to think theres no real design engineers left at VW anymore and they have all left to go to other makes. (is know alot left for Hyundai/KIA and Ford).

It's been cost engineered, not design engineered. The market crash of a few years ago set a number of companies down this route, at the time for survival. Problem is they still want premium bucks for it!

Mkviken have you removed the plastic floor pan covers lately as mine had a lot of tiny stones behind them which could cause rattles as they move about on the cover

no I've never removed them. only parts i did remove were to fit the jack pads.
the only noises seem to be from interior trim to be honest.
