boost gauge
« on: 17 February 2012, 10:06 »
I have my boost gauge I removed from the impreza, I would like to fit it to the golf, just curious what vacuum pipe I should hook into, or do I need to tap into the inlet manifold like I seen on a guide for fitting? Also were is easiest to hook into for power.
Regards

On a TDI you tap into the EGR to intercooler pipe

For power use the blue / grey wire behind the light switch as that will also allow you to dim the gauge with the dashboard lights

I just fitted mine today, a small tap of the EGR delete I had. I have seen people removing the inlet manifold, drilling and tapping a hole then screwing in a suitable connector. Be careful as I think the inlet mani is quite soft!
