Cheers Danny, think the MAF is ok now, after cleaning it out and re-installing it hasn't come back up on Vag-Com and the van is running pretty good. Think I will change the Lambda tho, its still using a lot of fuel, I know the Van is a lot heavier than my VR and it has an extra 12 valves, but if I can get 50-55 miles from a tenner of fuel, then surely I should be able to get 35-40 from the van?!?!  :undecided:
What do you mk4 V6 boys/girls get mpg wise??
Just changed the coding on the Auto box for economy mode too, see if this makes a difference.

2002 your likey to have both TBH

the first one is the more expensive as its quite likely to be a wideband , if it is it's even more inportant that its functioning correctly as the ecu monitors it closely under all driveing conditions and uses it to trim fueling accordingly,  also any exhaust leack upstream of it will reack havock with drivablity/ power and economy.

the 2nd lambda is used but is no where near as inportant it's more there just to monitor things and keep a check on the cat, bounus is the 2ndry lamda will be a narrowband  and cheeper
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

If you're getting a new lambda sensor. Try lambdapower. Good service and prices.
