Funny that. I'm the complete opposite. 99 per cent of the time I am in my car when I start it.

Nah it wouldnt flood it.  Its not a carberettour (sp?) engine.... Pressing the throttle wont do a thing when you have the ignition on.  ONly when you crank  the engine do the injectors squirt fuel.

Even an injected engine can be flooded, but it's very rare.

I always start mine, fold the mirrors out, check nothing has gone missing overnight then get it.

Ok had it scanned today loads of codes but they said they could be old and also linked with other faults
we had Maf, temp sensor o2 something like altitude or on those lines he has cleared codes installed a new temp sensor cleaned the maf and cleaned Throttle Body.
also noticed the thermostat was stuck as a pipe was cold
best news £12 parts £20 Labour top Bloke.
so after theses the car now starts up from cold as you would with any car it dont stall but ticks over low around 750 then when warm its ticks over at around 1100 a bit high.
bloke told me to run car for a few days to see if it settles down then he will rescan and go from there if any .
also car needs two new pipe connectors as these are leaking coolant i will post a pic of the main one so you can see how boodge up it is
