yeah im 98% sure its electronic. you may not have to realign, it may sort its self out after a few miles.

I would say clean tb first. it doesent cost as much as a maf sensor
i was initially thinking tb but then thought well i know mines down to the maf and having the same problems so thought ide mention that.

Hey guys i cleaned the throttle body and she is perfect
The throttle valve was black as ya hat. There was no need to use vagcom just left ignition on in position 2 for about 3 mins and then run her up at idle for a good 10 mins and she is smooooooooth

The 1.4 doesnt have a MAF. It also came with the cable and electronic throttle body.
They do suffer from dirty throttle bodies though.
