Foil strips on sills/kick plates

Hi folks,

Similar to my other post....I am also seeking a set of black textured 'foil' stick on strips that fit on the inner sill/kick plate on a 3dr Gti (protects the paint from the plastic sill mouldings)...anyone know where I can get these?

Since posting I've been searching for these parts and as I suspected they've been deleted from VW's parts supply

Best solution I have found which might be useful for anyone else requiring these type of parts is that Partco (various brnaches in UK I think) supply an almost identical sill trim tape on a roll which you can then cut to fit and shape.  Not too expensive either at around £10 mark.

It is finished in an almost identical finish to the genuine VW stuff with the textured feel on it....would work on rear tailgate too!

Just found out my paint code LA5U is Royal Blue Metallic and not Helios Blue as I'd always thought!!!

Is this a rare colour?
