ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

I'l take it to someone who knows what there doing have not got a clue where either of these sensors/buttons are..

Fan control unit is under the battery tray.

The themo sensor is at the bottom of the rad your see a 3 pin connecter.

I've never understood why some cars have the fans stay on for a while.

What are they doing? Nothing, it's of no value. The engine is off, so the waterpump is off, so no cooler water is reaching the engine, all that is being cooled is the radiator, which without water being pumped is of no value.

It is just where the water is still hot.  The thermo switch makes a circuit that keeps the fan running. Until the water cools below the set valve of the switch it won’t break the circuit.
