stop right there guys..

the log book could have come from any old car... simple mix up during its life.

the v5 is less likely to have...  which means its wrong if this car really is an 8v

mosdef... do all the numbers tie up ?  against the books and car itself.

and can we have a shot of your engine bay please :)

Which numbers? VIN etc? Yea they all match and HPI is clear...

OK here are the images of the engine - 8V i believe.... although i havnt had a chance to check the cars performance after 3000 RPM.

Is the below the MAF & THrottle body right? Where does the throttle body end?

thats def not a 16v.. its seems way smaller! looks like plenty of space to work in the engine bay.

so looks like your v5 is wrong.

its odd that you have the battery bag.. the 8v boys on here were moaning their cars dont have any

do you have any of the following?

 - sound deadening under the bonnet
 - a plastic plate underneath the engine

they were moaning they didnt have those either

the throttle body is the metal stuff directory after the big fat pipe that comes from the airbox.

if you undo the clip you can peek in and see the butterfly.

a shot of the "colour concept" badge would be nice. cant remember what one looks like...

and btw. your car is the exact same colour as mine :)

welcome to the world of bi-weekly car washing... LOL! ;)

Yep looks like the V5 is wrong. Well il get it checked out later. If this car was 16V i dont think i would ever let it go LOL.

Next car will be a 16V MK3 - Its a MUST!

Battery bag is there - yes, but erm sound deadening???

- sound deadening under the bonnet  - what does it look like?
- a plastic plate underneath the engine - i think i got this - from what i can see.....

Yea i knew this colour would mean weekly washing but hey - Its looks great - and its worth it

Colour Concept...

Thanks to everybody for their help

Much appreciated
