DTC Codes problem

Hi guys well todays been expensive and a little confusing.

I have had the problem of rough running for the last week so I did a vag test and got 00537 and 00520

These apparently are the lamda and the maf so I bit the bullet and replaced both today however after clearing the errors and running for a while the 00537 error keeps popping up has anyone got any ideas.

I would check the lambda plug wiring. I had this problem with mine. The plug had wires snapped.

had same codes ages ago mate! reset ecu (disconect battery for the night) and try again...
also i had a split vacum hose,have a good look round and make sure everthing is air tight..

How did u test the plug wires ?

I havent done that yet might be one for sunday night.

Which vacum pipes were u on about do you mean the breathers on the front of the engine.

Check the plug on the loom for broken wires or test for voltages.

check the black pipe that runs from right side of inlet manifold and follow it back,mine had a little split just behind the brake fluild filler and caused rough running.also i think sometimes you get false code readings,i tracked down a fault with my coolant sensor which i replaced and bingo! no more codes...
but got to be worth checking your wiring and connectors for faults and tshirt was saying and reset ecu

Just reset the ECU today if that doesnt work itll be a coolant sensor and then all new breathers in that order.

By the time im done it'll be nearly a new car lol.

Can you get stainless air intakes for the 8v

Yes you can buy them on eBay.

All the ones I have seen say not suitable for the 8v due to the maf
