Not placed an order for new car yet as VW currently not offering a single penny discount in the North East as demand is high and as pointed out deliveries are hard to come by. Problem is I refuse to pay list price for a car so I'm in regular contact with Lookers to see how it's looking. I'm hoping coming up to Christmas demand drops off and the factory manages to catch up so some discounts are to be had! Can't see that happening though as the Tiguan is so popular!

Have already tried to fight off the GTI sale but three doors and securing a baby car seat is a real pain. Main problem isn't every day use but holidays and weekends. We like to holiday in the UK now we have a family to avoid flying. The idea is to pack two digs in the boot, kids in the back of a 5 door and boot box to take the luggage. The Tiguan seems to tick all boxes for me, but typical me I like the new VW grill so ordering new is the only option at present.

Thanks for all the input guys, will keep you posted if anything happens in the coming weeks.

Cheers.

Have you tryed Autobytel they are part of the inchcape group. I got a huge discount on my Golf R off these people. There are deals out there to be had, you just need to look. At least a £2000 saving on list price.
