ok, so know all moved over, fits well, and is firmly held away from the cambelt! got the vacuum leads as they were meant to be, have started it, and have the oil light on now, dont think it was on before, but honestly barely ran untill now so may have been, is there a way of telling if i do have oil pressure, and its just a wiring fault, or sensor! the wiring is a little 'creative' in places so wouldnt surprise me.

cheers for your help so far

theres a oil pressure sensor on the back of the head on dizzy end , plug a guage in there to check pressure at the head, more than likely a wiring issue/sensor , i would renew all the oil sensors on the filter housing and the coolant sensors on the end of the head, i did mine as i didnt know how long they had been in there
check wiring to sensors on oil filter housing
