I'm just in the middle of sorting out the hifi in my mk3 golf and been collecting up all the pieces before diving in and installing it all, Basically so far I've got the following bits:
Blaupunkt Nashville DAB35 headunit
4X JBL 6.5" component speakers
Infinity reference 1040W 10" sub (to be fitted in custom wheelarch enclosure)
So what amp would you guys recommend, I don't want anything to big and lairy and it needs to fit nearly into an enclosure on the opposing wheelarch.

How many speakers do you want to amp with it?
Fitting it to the offside wheelarch is a pain! There are not many solid fixing points, unless you want to drill through the wheelarch itself! Which is not really a good idea!

what is the wrms of the sub? are you wanting to amp the speakers as well? a 4 channel amp is an option, 2 channels for each set of comps, then bridge the other 2 for the sub, depending on the wrms of the speakers and sub of course
