Can I ask the reason for wanting to switch back to the older engine
Not entirely happy with mine, headgasket is seeping oil (getting worse), it needs a good service (cambelt) and Brad's 2E is well looked after, shiny (the GF likes this...lol) and a better engine?

The 2E was a better engine for sure, AGG never seemed as lively as my 2E did. good luck

Ah glad this has been asked. My AGG has just died a horrible death, and was wondering what was involved to switch to another 8v lump. Think I may just try and find another AGG as I cant be arsed with the rest of it!

must admit the 8v lumps are solid, i think the issues most have with the later versions was all the silly sensors that the 2E never had
