HI guys, need a bit of help here.
So the story goes, i replaced my front standard speakers. These were 17cm single cones in the doors and tweeters in the dash.
I replaced them with Pioneer TS-E1702is (2 way coaxial) in the doors and Pioneer TS-1002i (2 way coaxial) in the dash. These are the recommended custom fit replacements on the pioneer website.

I am starting to wonder whether this is right or not as the old tweeter had a cap in the wiring. I guess this acts as a cheap cross over to filter out just the high frequency info for the tweeters and then send the rest to the door speakers.
I have noticed that the dash speakers seem to drown out the door speakers, problem being these are quite small and don't sound all that clear really.
Anyone know whether this could cause a problem as i am theoretically running 4 speakers from the front 2 channels of my head unit and 2 on the rear.
Should i add a crossover or maybe an amp to the front speakers.
cheers
