my M/F/D has decided to hide?
only some of the digits appear sometimes.
if button is pushed, you can see some digits still change, but un-readable.
any ideas what may cause this?

Sounds like the display is fecked. Don't think you can change it individually, so new clocks time I think.

It's common for old plasma displays to mess up mate, it happens with age. Don't think damp or a bad connection would cause that.

you can try and re-plug them in (they can get loose)....although after several set's of mk3 clocks failing I guess like the other posters

not always, my mate had same prob and changed the stalk as it was faulty and it actualy sorted his display prob
