almost completed a mk1 20v turbo , i brought the mounts off ebay for the gearbox, and made teh drivers side engine mount , brought the conversion shafts 100mm off ebay , but you need to make sure the mk4 has the 100mm gearbox flanges for them to work , i used the standard ecu and loom , then figures out how to wire it up by using jsut that loom , but then you need the ecu decoding , i can help you with the wiring its pretty simple

yes thats my worry the wiring  someone told me to use a  stand alone ecu ?? (plug and play  system ?)
im going to go for a AGU engine and gearbox   wont the 100mm flanges already come with this ?
ill track down the mounts  and drive shafts on ebay then  unless you still have the link  you could PM me
oh and also for the ecu decoding . is this where you clear all the codes off it ? i have vag com if this helps or will i have to take it some where?  at the last stages of the engine build it will be remapped just going to do all the outher bits  first  upgrade the turbo,  front mount ,  TIP etc etc

 thanx for that

well i managed to wire the standard ecu in , by using just the agu engine harness , i sent the ecu off to a place called dna tunign and they decoded it for £100 ,. links arev            http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170552253434&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1156wt_905 , mounts aren't on there anymore , but i think a place called caddy forum sell them , once your doing the wiring ill let you know step by step , through pm
