mk2 16v is miles better than any 8v, mk3 or mk2,?
i love ripping up mk3 16v's with their 150bhp,? im running a mk2 16v TSR engine, currently running 155bhp @ the wheels[/b
PLEASE NOTE @ THE WHEELS its 155 bhp, at the flywheel its around 184/185,?
My car has no problems pulling right from the line @ 1000rpm, and when the revs get to 3000 its alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll go,
i can hit the rev limiter in 5th gear, (145mph @ 7200 rpm)?
I can absolutely leave mk2 8v's they die off at around 90mph they just dont have any balls, cammed up or not.
the mk3 is crap, its heavy, sloppy, and doesnt give anywhere near the feeling or acceleration or speed as a mk2 16v - unless ur in a VR6,
a VR6 gives u the feeling of being sat in a rapid mk2 16v but ur in a mk3 in a heated leather seat, and going a hell of a lot faster,? ?
what u really want is a MK2 VR6 conversion - bye bye subaru's and evo's bye bye anything with a turbo and less than 300bhp.
Also id like to point out that a 16v engine is more efficient than an 8v engine, so the 16v should be more economical than the 8v's
