Ignition Coil
« on: 21 December 2010, 20:25 »
Hi - I replaced the ignition coil on my 16v and unplugged three leads from one side and a double from the other.  When I came to put the new one on, I found the double and two of three leads on the other side.  I spent ages looking around the engine bay etc for the third lead but with no success, I searched on the floor and found the adaptor, any ideas where the three individual leads should come from so I can trace the missing one back?

Thanks

there are only 2 leads per side ;)
3rd spade on the +ve side is a spare, which is covered up by a blank plug to prevent anything shorting out on that pin :)

hi there when you tighten the spades onto the coil dont tighten too much as the brass thread will easily shear off  and then your stuffed ,
