Hacksaw a slot in it then try and remove it that way.

Be very carefull with any great force as you may crack the gear box casing.

theres an easy diy fix.

1)take the car for a good drive to get the gearbox nice and warm.

2)jack car up and CLEAN THE DRAIN PLUG.

3)mix up some fast setting 2 part epoxy resin such as JB weld rapid.  put a decent dolop into the the drain plug then tap the proper tool for removeing the drain plug into the plug. if needed wedge it there somehow.

4)bugger off for at least a few hours it needs time to cure properly and gain it's full strength.

5) use large bar or ratchet with optional pipe for extra levarage if required to remove said plug useing stuck in tool.

6) take old plug with stuck in tool and apply fire to burn the resin out and get tool back

7) use tool to fit new drain plug

Whoaa danny thats an awesome idea... does it actually work though? P.s dont go anywhere else other than wilko's for epoxy resin, stuff they had for sale in b n q for 5.99 was 2.49 in wilkos
