after i was drivin about today i noticed my revs were not droppin they were on nearly 2000 i noticed a few times now and i dont know what the cause of it is i was thinkin maybe the clutch was stickin but it drives fine

any ideas?

What car is it?  If its a carbed model then most likely an autochoke fault, check it gets 12v when cold.  Next thing to check is the coolant channel o'ring in the inlet manifold, it can degrade over time and block the flow of coolant, a common fault on carb models.

When the engine is up to temp the autochoke unit should be very hot, almost too hot to touch!

Dunno about that then, could be the ISV or a vacuum leak?

right problem number 2 revs seem to of dissapeared gears are becomin knotchy although i hav a driveshaft leak the oil might of gone as i hav not topped it up yet and also when i accelerate they is a whistlein noise but this has been goin on for ages
