Ive just replaced my drivers side wishbone as i had an accident and bent it!

Im telling you ive never done it before but the haynes manual is absoloute sh!te.

So i just went for it i managed to do it in this order;

Take wheels off

remove the rubber piece from the end off the anti roll bar.

undo all the bolts under neath the wishbone.

The must trickiest bit is trying to get the metal sleeve out from one of the bushes, the haynes manual says that it comes of with the bolt but mine didnt, i think that if you were not to spray it with wd40 like i did then it might have a chance of comming out.
But if it doesnt come out then you have to try and pull it out with some pliers but be patient it will come out, just dont loose your rag like me!!

once this metal sleeve is out you can then pull the wishbone free with a bit of wiggling and there you go!!

It is a Bast##d of a job but it would be costly to get others to do it and its allways good to give it a go so good luck mate hope you get on all right 8)

The sleeve doesn't come out with the bolt, break it  ;)

Is it like the Audi's where you must tighten up the bolts with the weight of the car on? Otherwise you'll wear the new bushes out in no time.

Yes you are supposed to tighten the bolts with the car back on the floor.

Lol just read your post mate.  I hope you got your wish bone done and thank you for the offer of the metal sleeve.  As it happened I did wreck one of them some time ago when i did it but managed to do alright.  They were a bastard to get out and refit.  The problem I'm having now though is that its cronking like hell because i never put a metal sleeve3 in one side.  RESPECT
Take it easy
