if a turbo is making a high pitch whistle and not boosting properly can i be saved??

if you're sure it's not a cracked manifold or leaking gasket, then the turbo needs looking over. I'd check the compressor wheel first (easiest to get to and most common) then the turbine/wastegate.

Don't know a great deal about turbos so cant comment on wastegates etc but I work on jet turbines and a damaged compressor wheel would definately cause tht on them so thts where I would look.
