They made one for my last car i had done by them but they wouldnt fit it as they said it was illegal     The only reason i was going for miltek one was i heard very good reviews on it.

Only illegal on a petrol engine  :nerd:

THS Performance do one which is cheaper and comes with a range of adaptors to fit your standard exhaust system if pennies are tight

How can i make my standard exhaust sound like a non resonated milltek? Will a large bore d/pipe do much difference?

Won't make a massive difference sound wise.  Its all about the performance with the downpipe although you do get quite a cool 'owl' type sound when you lift off the gas

So im gonna have to fork out the ££ for a milltek then? What makes the milltek louder? could i not just cut out a silencer out the standrad exhaust??

Go to a local exhaust company and get them to price up a complete turbo back system - it will be far cheaper than a Milltek :afro:

I will do. Does your system still sound like a milltek or better?

I'm biased but to me it sounds better   Mainly because you can hear it more of the time.  Most of the Milltek's I've heard you can only hear them past a certain RPM

Cool so it's all down to what you wanna get out of the new exhaust, as in how loud and how often you want to hear the exhaust.

I like the idea of the owl type noise from the downpipe, what are the performance gains on a 130 with just a downpipe, or generally what does gains are there from uprated downpipes?

Read my project thread as there are a few graphs up there comparing back to back runs with and without the downpipe :afro:
