the rack needs changing becasue the linkage brackets bolt to it, the 1.3 doesn't have all bracketry required for the 5 speed big block linkage. you may be lucky and rack been replaced in the past however.

as i say you can use the old mount bracket, drill off the spot welds to remove it from the leg. flip it upside down and reweld it.  You may need some patches of metal to repair and fill in some gaps, but if you can weld a mount then this wont be a problem for you.

thx johnny.  we got those mounts and things last sunday, it was a 1.5/2 hour drive so i im glad you told me about that rack or id of been going back lol.  i saw why i needed it when i got there.  i think im going to get a mate to weald that bracket as i can weld but not brialliantly.

also when removing the engine mounts from the scrappy car the bolt was siezed in the drivers side mount and the whole bush was siezing. we had to chisel away at it and ended taking some of the leg with it. will try and get some pictures
