Big Problem
« on: 14 May 2010, 13:51 »
I recently fitted a 15" sony sub, two 1000w 6x9's and two 6.5" Conponents speakers on to my parcel shelf.
Wired all up with the sub running off a 1500w mono amp, 6x9 running off a 2channel 2000w amp and conponents off a 600w amp.
They are all lined up as in the rca cables and remote cables are linked as only one output for rca and rem on head unit, the first inline in the sub amp, then the 2000w then the 600w. However (here is the Problem) on the left speaker on both the 2000w and 600w amp work, the sub is fine, its definatly the right speaker connection on the amp i found from test, swapping speakers and wires. so as its not just one amp playing up i guess there mest be an error somewhere in wiring.

Any ideas pleaseeeeee?

Any chance of a clearer explanation (or photo's, ideally) showing how the amps are wired together and the signal is daisy chained between the three?

Might make it easier to to assist in fault finding...

is it not because your first amp is a mono amp , so only one channel , try taking it out and running from one of the other amps first !!

Mono is still left and right, just one set. You should be able to use the RCA pass through on it to power the other but why bother when you must have at least 4 RCAs on your HU do you not?

Run the sub off the rear RCA off the HU and the other components of the front RCAs, You could kill your pre amp on HU with so much Wattage coming from one pair of RCAs
