rear wiper removal question
« on: 20 April 2010, 19:45 »
Hi folks,

I have just ordered the glass gromet for covering up the hole when you remove the rear wiper what i want to know is when you are removing the rear wiper, do you just remove the spindel for the wiper arm and seal off the water pipe, fit glass gromet, job done? or is it more complicated?

Any info would be great

cheers

jim

hi
i did this very recently!

basically you are going to have to take the whole rear wiper motor out (very easy - held on by 3 bolts)
and yes plug the water pipe thingy!

to get to the rear wiper motor take the boot door card off (2 screws in grab handles and then pull - firmly to disconnect tabs)

hope this helps
cheers

what did you use to block the hose off?

i squired a load of silocone in the end
then a load of duck tape round that
then folded it in half tightly
and then more duck tape around the fold to make sure it stayed tight

dont think it is going to be leaking any time soon!

cheers
